What a STUD! This season’s fiercest of trends.

Studded shoes and boots are set to take over the fashion footwear shelves this coming Autumn season. With the right styling, you can take this trend and work it your own way...

Studded Loafers, tough casual.

Toughen up your daily look with a pair of studded loafers, perfect for adding a touch of unexpected severity to your usual day to day shoes. Check out these studded slippers by ASOS.

Creepers, a rebellious trend.

Creeper shoes have been hot favourite with the young fashion crowd this Summer, update the look for Autumn with the studded version from Love Your Shoes.

Studded heels, rock chick chic.

For a glamorous night out, bring out your edgier side with pair of studded high heels. Wear with a simple bodycon dress or skinnies so that the shoes have the full impact! Feast your eyes on these super spiked high heels from Barratts Shoes.

Spiked Boots, the handsome rogues.

Attention seeking spiked detailing on these Jeffrey Campbell boots available at Office are some serious pieces of footwear, would need to walk far apart from friends to avoid spiking their ankles!

Clash the different spikes, studs and buckles to be really bold with this statement look. Opt for gold and silver to mix up your metallics and stand out from the crowd wearing Studded Shoes!

Not totally your thing? You don’t need to go all out with the stud look, add subtle studs on key features of the shoe or boot such as across the toe cap, wedge or platform heel, or over a strap.

Creepers: Friend or Foe fashion trend!

This trend I’m not sure I can ever be a fan of... however, love them or loathe them, I’ll write about creeper shoes!

Originally worn by the 1950’s cool kids, then Brothel Creeper shoes or affectionately known as creepers, were worn with eccentric clothing at that time.

Then becoming popular then in the rock and roll ages, creepers got an underground make over. Keeping the flat platform crepe sole but jazzing up the fabrics and colours to give Creepers a rockier fashion edge.

Now with celebs and pop stars alike are sporting the creeper shoe, giving the look a modern twist on an old classic! It is fair to say that this underground shoe has a very distinctive style that sets it apart from all other shoes, and should be worn by the bold fashionista. This isn’t a shoe for day to day wear by most people!

The creeper trend is hitting the high street hard, so I’ve picked out some of my hot favourite Creepers:

Casual Shoes: For ladies who like to loaf.

I am one of these ladies, mooching about town on a Saturday and chilled out Sundays sitting back in coffee shop, chatting with the girls is my idea of relaxing. And for this kind of leisure time, high heels are not an option – forget SATC – this is real life Leeds lasses gathering.

With brogues too formal, ballerinas sometimes too flimsy on the sole and the weather not quite there for espadrilles yet – left with one very stylish option, the loafer. Loafers are a classic look, and back in modern fashion in range different fabrics, patterns and colours to bring them smack into the now.

Slicker than your average in these hot to trot Dalmatian print loafers from New Look, the monochrome mixed with animal print joins two fashions in one .

Draw vintage inspiration from these chic Tassle Loafers by Office. Great for work, these loafers would be perfect with tailored trousers and soft blouse for a feminine feel.

Nude is a colour that remains high in the fashion style stakes so combined with loafer detailing – you would be on to a winner with this offering by Topshop.

And finally, a bit more for a fashion leader than follower, are pastel shades. I love these Pastel Green Loafers by Odeon Shoes. So fresh for the summer, with white jeans, these are totes adorable!

Shoes, Glorious Shoes.........

The sunshine is here and I feel like singing. Fin-al-ly. So after booking my Summer holiday, the first thing I did was get myself to town centre and go shoe shopping. Nothing brings me such happiness than buying a new pair of shoes, especially when mincing about town in the warm sun.

Particularly spring shoes, these tend to be in lighter and brighter from neutrals to block colours. From ballerina shoes, espadrilles, flat sandals to flip flops! By having an array for shoes for the warmer days I can match footwear type to occasion or activity. Just love having a selection of spring and/or summer sandals to choose from every day. Finding those spring shoes that suit me and that are the right fit is part of the fun!

So after my boyf and I had booked the flights, there followed some whooping before we hot footed it into lovely Leeds city centre. Now, it had been freezing that morning so I have my old fateful Uggs on.... error. The sun came out and we planning the afternoon at his parents’ house in the country. No way, were fur lined boots staying on. So naturally I ‘had’ to buy new sandals.

I’d been out and about in Cheltenham week before pay day and noticed these beautiful Gold Sandals from Topshop. So I made the first shop we went in Topshop and purchased these lovelies. Not only pretty in gold but super comfy too – went for afternoon stroll in the hills by canal and there was no rubbing on toes or heel. Happy times.

Sunday weather was just as beautiful and so I brought out trusty TOMS from Office shoes. Bought my TOMS last year, after being somewhat sceptical of the style and fit, I’d (wrongly) assumed that  without wearing socks the soles would rub and conscious of foot oder – but no, TOMS got me through the whole Summer. TOMS were ideal for strolling about Cities and tourist attractions whilst on holiday when sandals aren’t appropriate or hurting hot feet. This year my TOMS will def get packed in suitcase!

If after a prettier girly shoe, the ballerina shoes are perfect choice – and available in so many styles and colours on the high street for not many pennies too. I like to wear Ballerinas, to work, play and sometimes down the pub. I like these tan coloured Ballerina shoes from Barratts, as will go with pretty much every outfit.

Flat Boots : Spring cross over footwear!

Strange time of year right now, it’s getting ever so slightly warmer but I’m not quite ready to let the Spring cool air to touch my toes! So figured, that Flat Boots could be the way forward on Spring casual days...

Literally one of the biggest pains I have is wearing heels throughout the day, and it’s not exactly sandal whether yet.  I’ve been living in my Whooga Sheepskin Flat Boots throughout the winter, with their gorgeous comfy faux fur lining these boots keep my feet toasty warm. However and without being minging, getting little sweaty in the warmer weather.

Therefore, it is time for some online retail therapy and browsing for footwear is possibly my favourite hobby (and can be classed as job too!). Searching for Flat Boots, I’ve stumbled across these beauties as perfect seasonal crossovers...

Wedge Shoes : an edgy twist on the traditional heel!

Wedges made a huge come back last summer and these fabulous shoes are set to do the same this coming season! The great thing about wedges is not only are they super comfy but also suit both daytime chic and night time glam wear. So versatile that Wedges can wear with pretty much everything. I love to style my Wedges with ankle grazing jeans or leggings for a sleek, leg lengthening look.

We all know that nude colour is hot to trot and gives the impression of longer limbs so first up I found these stunning Nude Suedette Platform Wedges by New Look. So amazingly cute with the contrast Suedette platform with the patent upper!

A wardrobe staple has to be the Black Wedge Shoe, great for setting a fashion standard in the office and must have for big nights out. Check out Office’s Wonderland black suede wedge shoes with their fancy little bow and peep toe.

For the more daring wearer, so many delightful brightly coloured Wedge Shoes coming into stock on the high street. Make a statement in these coral beauties from Aldo. These eye-catching Calcagni wedges would be perfect with a hot dress to really stand out!

This warmer weather has meant that I can finally forget socks and choose to wear some gorgeous Ballet inspired shoes and pumps instead! With no rain forecast this week, Ballerinas are perfect casual shoes to wear for work and play.

I recently purchased some nude bow ballet pumps from H&M, the colour goes with everything and unbelievably comfy. I’ve worn these pretty ballerina shoes to the office and out day drinking.
